The event, held at the Planet Hollywood hotel in Las Vegas, also included the participation of VSN’s partners Ross Video and Harmonic.

Once again NAB Show starts full of new innovations for the broadcast industry. And as usual, VSN’s kick-off for this fair began with its traditional morning keynote session for all its trusted dealers in the Latin American market. The event, held on Sunday, April 23, began with a conference given by the company’s Marketing Director, Jordi Capdevila, to present the current state of the broadcast industry and its evolution throughout the last year.

Among others, Capdevila highlighted as the main trends that will lead the sector the inevitable decrease in production costs, as well as an increasing content customization and multi-device delivery where and when consumers want. Moreover, broadcasters should also pay special attention to ensure always personal data protection, as well as continuous development of technology thanks to new innovations such as artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Later, Aaron López, COO of VSN, was in charge of explaining the latest innovations and product developments in which the company has been working lately, as well as all the key products that will be displayed at the NAB Show this year. Among others, the new web-based video editor VSN Wedit, integrated within its solution VSNExplorer for media and business process management, that will allow journalists and video editors to manage and edit all their video clips in the Cloud from a unique interface and without switching tabs to any third-party NLE.

The event also featured conferences carried out by some partners invited this year to showcase their joint solutions with VSN. Carole Pigeard, Business Developer Manager for Inception, detailed the latest enhancements and features included in Ross Video‘s news production software thanks to its integration with VSNExplorer Media Asset Management (MAM) system and the new web-based video editor, Wedit, within the Inception interface. Afterwards, Adrian Copantsidis, in charge of leading Harmonic sales in LATAM region, presented the project for continuity automation, workflow optimization and audience segmentation jointly developed with VSN at Imagen TV, the third national TV channel in Mexico that was officially launched in October 2016 and the first free-to-air TV created in the country in more than two decades.

Mario Díaz, VSN’s Global Sales Director, closed the cycle of conferences by sharing some new ways of collaboration and business models for the broadcast industry development, focusing more on providing services and professional assessment within the corporate vertical.

VSN’s keynote ended up with the traditional awards ceremony for the best projects and dealers in the region. On this occasion, Videocam LLC was awarded for our excellent professional career.
